Team GCROCK

Welcome to Team GCROCK

Whether you’ve been following me for a long time or just recently, you’ll know my journey in content creation and community building started with a simple goal: to help people in The Division, alongside a small group of friends. What began as a humble mission has since grown into a massive community, and the number of people who have chosen to help others is beyond count.

Over time, many systems have come and gone to support what we do, but one thing remains constant: we’ve assisted thousands upon thousands of players with some of the toughest content in The Division. This article is here to provide all the information you need about the Team GC system.

Team GC’s mission is to offer:

  • Assistance with the most challenging content in The Division
  • A platform to join us and gain knowledge from our experience
  • A place to meet amazing friends
  • A non-toxic environment where you can thrive

Join the GCROCK Discord Server

Your journey begins by joining my “GCROCK Discord Server,” which is my personal server, distinct from our main GCROCK Community Discord. Within this server, there are three paths you can follow with Team GC:

Path 1 – Get Help: If you’re looking for assistance, simply let us know through our onboarding process what you need help with. Based on your selections, you’ll gain access to specific channels where Team GC will bring in volunteers to help when available.

Path 2 – Join Team GC (No Experience): If you want to learn and eventually contribute by joining Team GC, we have a full setup to train you in whatever role you wish to take on.

Path 3 – Join Team GC (With Experience): If you already have experience in helping members of our community or others, we have a streamlined process to get you up and running right away.

It’s important to note that being part of Team GC comes with high expectations. You will represent what we consider the Heart of the community:

  • All members undergo a screening process before joining Team GC.
  • Any member with an Admin warning within the last 3 months will be declined.
  • Any member who has had a ban revoked in the past 12 months will also be rejected.

Path 1 - Receive Help

As previously mentioned, we’ve helped thousands of players in The Division. The GCROCK Community Discord is already a large community, featuring LFG channels where you can connect with others to get the help you need.

However, my personal GCROCK Discord is set up differently, and it’s worth being part of both if you’re looking to get things done. Here are the advantages of joining my personal server:

  • During onboarding, you’ll choose what you need help with, whether it’s activities in The Division 1 or The Division 2.
  • Once you’re set up, you’ll gain access to channels dedicated to our Team GC teams, focused on providing assistance. Unlike the main server’s LFG channels, you won’t be overwhelmed with a large community all trying to group up for different sessions at once.
  • Instead, you’ll simply wait for targeted pings from our teams, and you can respond to receive help. There are no other requirements, except for being respectful to our members.
  • There will be build suggestions, and communication is encouraged through mics, but even if you don’t have a mic, we’ll make it work. As long as you can communicate via Discord and follow our team’s instructions, you’ll be just fine.
  • No Watch level? No problem! All of our guides were created with teams that had no Watch levels and no expertise, so anyone can join us for any help they need.

After receiving help from any of our Team GC members or teams, we kindly ask that you leave feedback in the designated feedback channel. We want to ensure we’re providing the best experience possible!

Path 2 - Join Team GC (No Experience)

Receiving help within our community marks the beginning of a special journey for many members. That’s why we’ve created a system that allows anyone to get involved and join Team GC.

  • The first step to joining Team GC is obtaining the Team GC Recruit role.
  • To earn this role, you’ll need to farm a few specific builds to ensure you’re prepared when the opportunities arise. Check out my Raid Builds article to see which builds are needed.
  • Once you’ve farmed the required builds and passed your member screening, you’ll be granted the recruit role. This role will unlock various opportunities for you to join Team GC:

Training Channel: You’ll be added to a training channel where Team GC trainers will post when they have open spots. These spots will give you hands-on experience across different activities and roles. (You’ll choose your areas of interest before being added.)

Recruit Chat & LFG: A space for recruits to connect, chat, and possibly team up for practice sessions. Team Captains will also post here when they’re looking for new or inexperienced members. It’s a great opportunity to meet teams and take your first step into the action.

With access to these channels, you’ll have the chance to gain valuable experience alongside myself and my Team GC trainers & captains. Once I or my trainers are satisfied with your experience, you’ll be promoted to a full Team GC role. Team Captains may also recruit you to their teams.

The full Team GC role opens up even more opportunities:

  • Team GC LFG: You’ll have access to the Team GC LFG, where members look for help with activities in either the main server or my personal server. You’re free to use this LFG as well.
  • Team GC Endorsements: Endorsements are tasks that we assist with across The Division 1 and The Division 2. Once you demonstrate your ability to help with these tasks, you’ll unlock them. These endorsements appear on your profile to show others the full extent of your experience.
  • Team GC Core: If you’re interested in supporting my streams, you’ll gain access to my core team training.

With full access to Team GC, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to work with other members and teams. From here, your journey is up to you:

  • You can remain a solo Team GC member, contributing where you can.
  • You may be invited by a Team GC Captain to join an existing team (you can support multiple teams).
  • You may want to help form a new team with fellow Team GC members and Recruits. I offer full team training for these groups, with the goal of passing a test to become an official team with a Team Captain.

Roles such as Team Captain and Team Trainer are also attainable for those who are ready for them.

Path 3 - Join Team GC (With Experience)

The Division is a franchise that has been around for many years, and as mentioned earlier, we’ve used various systems over time to help players. I’m aware that many individuals and teams are already assisting community members both within our community and beyond.

For experienced players and teams, I’ve created a more streamlined process for joining Team GC:

  • If you believe you have the experience to contribute to Team GC and want to join us, you’ll need to reach out directly to me. You can do this via a Discord DM or through our ticketing system in the main GCROCK Community Discord.
  • We’ll arrange a voice meeting with you, and if you’re part of a team, your whole team is welcome to attend.
  • During the meeting, I’ll give you a tour of Team GC and walk you through aspects you might miss by bypassing the recruit system.
  • It’s essential to understand the responsibilities and expectations associated with the Team GC role, as mentioned earlier in the article.
  • If you’re familiar with any of our current Team GC Trainers or Captains, having them in the meeting is a bonus.
  • In the meeting, we’ll discuss all available roles and how you (and your team) will contribute to Team GC.
  • If I’m not familiar with you, we may need to run a few sessions together so I can assess whether you meet our standards. You and anyone in your team will also need to pass our screening process.
  • Once all parties are satisfied, roles will be assigned, and you’ll become a full Team GC member with complete access.

Other Information

If you don’t already have the “SHD Agent” role in our main GCROCK Community Discord, you’ll automatically receive it when you gain a Team GC role. This will bypass the 3-month time requirement for new members.

To join Team GC, you must be part of both servers.

If you lose your “SHD Agent” role, you will also lose any Team GC roles associated with it. You won’t be able to reapply for Team GC roles until your “SHD Agent” role is restored.

  • As a representative of Team GC, the experience we create is crucial! Any disruption to this experience by a Team GC member could result in the loss of their roles.
  • A full list of Team GC roles and how they work can be found in another article, which also covers Team GC Endorsements and their process. You can view that article here.
  • It’s important to remember that the people we help through Team GC are our primary focus when they’re with us. It’s the responsibility of every Team GC member to ensure that anyone we assist has the best possible experience.
  • Team GC offers person-centered help, meaning we tailor the experience to each member we assist. If we’re helping multiple people at once, it’s essential that all expectations are clearly set before we begin.
  • Rather than imposing too many rigid guidelines, I believe it’s important for individuals and teams to operate in their own way, as long as the members being helped have a great experience. That’s what truly matters.
  • I’ve also written an article called “The Perfect Experience,” which all Team GC members should read. It shares stories I’ve encountered over the years and highlights the importance of person-centered help.

If you have any additional questions about Team GC, don’t hesitate to reach out to us via the contact section in the GCROCK Community Discord.
