The Division 2 Trophy Guide

The Division 2 Trophy Guide – Trophy/Achievement Guide

The Division 2 Trophy Guide: There are currently 48 trophies in The Division 2 for you to get stuck into (47 achievements) and in this guide we are going to cover every one of them. New trophies are added every title update and I will keep updating this as they get added. Being The Division, there are a few trophies that are a little bugged and we will discuss them in the guide, but they are not unattainable. To get 100% of these complete you are looking at 80+ hours, and having a good group of players to play with will only lower this time. Be sure to link up with other players in our friendly community: https://discord.gg/f7K4k7Y.

There is no specific order in which you need to focus on, and you are free to go about obtaining these however you like. I advise that you just enjoy the game and get yourself into World Tier 5, at this point work on a build so that you are ready to take on the raid. No trophies are missable and at this point you can just mop up on anything you are missing. I give this a trophy difficulty rating of 4/10 without linking up with others in our community, and 2/10 if you do link up.

Note: Some focus on the Big Game Hunter trophy will help matters so please have a read of that as soon as you can.

Bugged Trophies
There are three trophies that can bug out on you but they are not unattainable, and it is just a case of being patient and continuing to try. We will cover them early in the guide so that you are aware of them.

Hard as Nails

Hard as Nails

Finish all missions on hard difficulty or above.

Hard difficulty is not available until you have completed a mission on story, it is also extremely difficult this early in the game. To play a mission on hard just hover over it on your map and hold Triangle (PS4) to select hard. You are best to just play through the game until you are in World Tier 5, you can then put a quick build together and fly through all of the missions on hard without any difficulty.

These are the missions that must be completed;

  • Grand Washington Hotel
  • Jefferson Trade Centre
  • ViewPoint Museum
  • American History Museum
  • Air & Space Museum
  • Space Administration HQ
  • Jefferson Plaza
  • Bank Headquarters
  • DCD Headquarters
  • Lincoln Memorial
  • Potomac Event Center
  • Federal Emergency Bunker
  • District Union Arena (Stronghold)
  • Roosevelt Island (Stronghold)
  • Capitol Building (Stronghold)

I also recommend that you run with a reviver hive, chem launcher heals and a team to make it even easier, not that it needs to be if you have a decent build as hard difficulty is a walk in the park. There is a bug that can prevent the trophy popping on completion, if you get a blue screen or disconnect and reconnect during a mission it may not count. If this happens you can restart the mission to make sure it counts.

If you still cannot get the trophy to pop up on completion, have a look at your exploration commendations. You will see that each of these missions have a Discovery Merit and one of the requirements is to complete the mission on hard. Missions with a tick on this will have counted towards the trophy, and missions without a tick won’t have, so just redo these and it will pop up.

A Friend in Need

Respond to a call for help and revive the agent.

This trophy requires you to respond to a call for backup and then revive the person who sent the call. You will notice the call for backup come up on screen for you to interact with or you can go into the menu and matchmake for it.

Unfortunately it is not as simple as that for many and the trophy just won’t appear. It is a glitched trophy but will eventually pop up if you keep at it. There are three methods that you can try;

  • Method 1: Just keep trying through matchmaking until you eventually respond to a call, revive them, and it pops.
  • Method 2: Keep trying through matchmaking but have a reviver hive equipped. Once in, use a grenade to kill yourself and have your hive revive you, this can count and takes out the need of the other person going down.
  • Method 3 – The Workaround:
    1) Link up in a chat party with a friend but do not join each other in-game.
    2) To lower loading times make sure you both fast travel to the White House.
    3) Have your friend be ready to join you, make sure they have brought you up in the social window and are hovered over ‘Join Game’ so it is just a press of a button.
    4) Then you must accept a call for backup and immediately instruct your friend to join you.
    5) If done correctly you both will join the same game with just you two but the game will think that you have joined the call for help. Just have your friend kill themselves and then revive them for the trophy.

The Division 2 Trophy Guide

The Division 2 Trophy Guide

Big Game Hunter

Complete a bounty from each safe house.

I think this trophy is more confusing than glitched and it is just a case of not knowing how to do it correctly. However, I have had people tell me that they have done the correct steps and it still hasn’t popped.

The bounties menu in game, or any of the bounty NPC’s are not what this trophy is linked to. You can do as many of these bounties as you like and for the most part they do not count, there is a small chance that some will because once you unlock the correct bounties they will add themselves to the bounties menu if they expire.

You will notice that every safehouse has a computer in that you can interact with and it gives you the areas Liberation Project. This is what is linked to this trophy and the Liberation Project, upon completion, will give you a bounty as a reward. This bounty appears instantly and you have a timer ticking down before it expires. You just need to kill all of these bounties from these Liberation Projects for the trophy. If the timer runs out or if you fail the bounty, it will add itself to the bounties menu and you just need to go and find it and restart it. It should be in the same area as where you got given the project so search for it there. This is good to know if you know you have missed one and need to respawn them, just check the names below for the bosses for bounty and their area;

Meatwagon (Downtown Wast)
12th street (Federal Triangle)
Wolf pack (Judiciary Square)
Jefferson’s legacy (East Mall)
Lafayette’s regulars (Southwest)
Kindled Front (West End)
Peace Movement (Foggy Bottom)
Bully Buzzards (Potomac Park)
Embers Movement (Constitution Hall)

If you are just starting the game it would be a good idea to give this some focus to make sure it is done. Once you visit a safehouse to get the Liberation Project for that area, put some focus into getting it done and unlocking the bounty. Kill the bounty straight away and tick it off this list. If you fail it, you know you need to come back for it. The area where the Campus Settlement is does not have a safehouse, instead you can find the computer hidden in the campus settlement, when you spawn there just walk forward hugging the left and you will notice a path through some crates into a sectioned off area. This is where the computer is for the Liberation Project to this area.

Combat Related Trophies
There are five combat related trophies to go for but most are really easy to achieve. Undressed to Kill can be a little tricky.

Undressed to Kill

Destroy every piece of a tank's armor, then eliminate the tank.

There are different types of tank enemies in The Division 2. Some come with a minigun (Black Tusks), some have a sledgehammer (Outcasts) and there are others. The way you can tell an enemy is a tank is because they have armor that you need to destroy before you can kill them, The armor covers their head, chest, arms and legs.

For this trophy you must kill one of these enemies by first destroying all of their armor. Doing this on a lower difficulty and with a pistol helps things because it is easy for a shot to go a stray with other weapons and accidently killing them too soon. Just shoot the armor off the head, chest, arms and legs before killing the tank and the trophy will unlock. This requirement is also part of unlocking the technician specialization, so if you are planning to go for that you can kill two birds with one stone. You can also boost this with a friend and make them take aggro from the tank, I show you a good location to find a tank in the video below.

Negative Ramos!

Shock enemy medics by shooting their defibrillator.

A medic is an NPC that will revive fallen enemies. They have a medic cross on their health bars and are easy to recognise. For this trophy you must shoot a backpack on a medic until you electrify them and the trophy will unlock.

The Division 2 Trophy Guide

The Division 2 Trophy Guide

Autograph Hunter

Kill one enemy with each of the signature weapons (crossbow, sniper rifle & grenade launcher).

When you reach World Tier 1 you will unlock three specializations; Sharpshooter, Demolitionist and Survivalist. Get a kill with each specialization weapon and you get the trophy. To equip a specialization just go to the Base of Operations and speak with the quartermaster, select the one you want and you should recieve some ammo with it.

Engage in combat and hold triangle (PS4) to equip your specialization. If you need ammo then you just need to kill enemies until they drop it for you, it appears as an orange loot drop. Only a kill with these three specializations are needed for the trophy, any DLC specializations are not needed.

The Division 2 Trophy Guide

Arrow to the Knee

Arrow to the Knee

Shoot 10 enemies in the leg with a crossbow.

The crossbow is the Survivalist specialization, simply shoot 10 arrows into the knees of enemies and the trophy will unlock. I recorded a way to cheese this in the video below, at the start of Space Administration HQ. In the video I go back to the Base of Operations and switch the specialization in and out to get more ammo. If this has been patched then it will take longer as you will need to find ammo yourself.

King of the Skill

King of the Skill

Equip and use each skill.

This is not really a combat trophy because you don’t ever need to go into combat to get it, it sounds like a combat trophy though so it went here. As you progress through the story you will unlock skill points that allow you to unlock one of the eight skills. By the time you hit World Tier 1 you will have a varient of each one unlocked.

Just use each skill for the first time by equipping it and then using it in combat for the trophy. You can just equip each skill at the Base of Operations, head outside the gates and use the skill with no enemies about for it to work too.

PVP Based Trophies
There are six PVP based trophies in the game and all can be obtained easily. A boosting partner is advised or some will be tricky, you can link up with other players in our community if you need a partner: https://discord.gg/f7K4k7Y

Dark Zone: Extraction

Extract an item from each dark zone.

You will first need to unlock the East, South and West Dark Zones by doing their unlock missions. These missions are PVE and you get to extract in the Dark Zone East mission which counts towards this trophy. Once you have South and West unlocked you will need to go back in to get an extraction in each, and this time it will be in a PVP environment.

When in the Dark Zone you just need to find some contaminated loot, the loot will be fuzzy and you won’t be able to see what it is. Head to the extraction and get it out in both Dark Zones for the trophy. This is easier to do with a squad but not too difficult anyway, transfer server if your server is full of rogues.

Dark Zone Takedown

Dark Zone: Takedown

Eliminate a disavowed agent in each dark zone.

There are 2 steps an agent must take to become disavowed in the Dark Zone. They must first go rogue by holding up on the D-Pad, and then they must kill a player to become disavowed, you then need to kill the disavowed agent for it to count, and do this in all three Dark Zones. This cannot be done in the occupied Dark Zone, the occupied Dark Zone rotates between Dark Zone East, South and West and when occupied players don’t need to go rogue to kill eachother, so they can’t become disavowed. You can tell a Dark Zone is occupied because a dagger will be on the map.

There are two ways to go about this;

  • Method 1: Go in each Dark Zone alone or with a group and keep fighting rogues until you kill a disavowed one.
  • Method 2: Cheese it with a boosting partner. Head to the Dark Zone with your partner, have them leave group, go rogue and kill you. Come back out and kill them, and then do it in the other two Dark Zones for the trophy.

First Among Equals

First Among Equals

Win a match of skirmish or domination.

Play Conflict and win a game of Skirmish or Domination. You can play solo or in a squad, but it will matchmake you with others when solo. To increase your chances of a win it would help to be communicating in a team, and have fairly decent builds. Keep playing and a win will come. You can start a game of Conflict from the menu or near the helicopter at the Base of Operations.

Clan War

With your clan, face off against another clan in conflict.

You will need to join a clan in order to get this trophy, you can also start your own clan. There is another trophy explaining how to do this later on.

Once in a clan you just need to play Conflict against another clan and the trophy will load as you load in, you don’t even need to play the game. You don’t even need to play with your clan and can play alone, as long as you have a clan tag it counts as you playing in your clan. I am not sure if your clan needs a minimum of four members before you can earn this though and that will be the case if this is not unlocking for you. You can search and apply to join clans in the clan menu.

Dark Zone: Occupied Hijack

Hijack an extraction in any occupied dark zone.

This trophy used to be different altogether, it had a different name and involved a dog. Luckily it is much simpler now. You need to enter the occupied Dark Zone (which rotates across Dark Zones with a dagger) and Hijack someone elses extraction. To do this wait for someone to call one in and ambush it! Make sure you wait until they have placed their loot on the rope and then you can kill them and cut their rope for the trophy.

This can be difficult as people are not just going to let you rob their loot so you can cheese it. Link up with a friend, enter the occupied Dark Zone and then get your friend to start an extraction. Leave the group and let them place the item, you will be able to cut the rope for the trophy. Be sure to join our community if you need a partner: https://discord.gg/f7K4k7Y.

Dark Zone Safe House

Dark Zone: Safe House

Access a hidden safe room in a dark zone.

This trophy will be changing to “Enter a Dark Zone” soon as the Thieves Den has been taken out of the game.

You need to activate and enter the Thieves Den in the Dark Zone to get this trophy. The Thieves Den may not always be open but you can see when he is by hovering over Dark Zone East, South or West on the map. It will inform you on the text that pops up if the Thieves Den is there.

Head to the Dark Zone where the Thieves Den is located and you need to find a large loot crate that requires a Dark Zone key to open, or a SHD terminal on a wall. The terminal on a wall will be easier. Hold triangle (PS4) on the terminal, or steal from the loot crate to go rogue and start the Thieves Den process off.

Now you are rogue it will alert you on screen when you are near another terminal or loot crate with a grey skull. Follow these skulls to keep interacting with terminals, and stealing loot crates. Eventually you will reach 100% and you will be taken to the Thieves Den door, just enter for the trophy. If you die you will need to start again.

Everything Else
There are seventeen base game trophies remaining below.

Rebuilding DC

Rebuilding DC

Fully upgrade all settlements.

This trophy is story related and you will get it automatically. As you play through the games main story missions you will upgrade two settlements called the Theatre and the Campus. Once they are both fully upgraded the trophy unlocks.

Command and Control

Command and Control

Discover 20 control points in DC.

Control points are scattered all over the map and appear as a red flag on your map. Just head to all of these to discover them and unlock the trophy. Control points are a great way to farm for gear and weapons.

Group Therapy

Group Therapy

Take over a control point in a group without anyone being downed.

As the description states, you must be in a group and you need to take over a control point without anyone being downed. This will be very easy as you enter end game and start to get a build together but should be easy enough prior. Have a friend join you, or matchmake and then take on a control point, keep it at level 1 to make it even easier and clear it. Call in the backup by holding triangle (PS4) and there will be a boss fight while you attack it, and then one when you defend it. As long as nobody goes down the trophy will pop up on completion, try again on other control points if you fail.

Help Me!

Help Me!

Put out a call for backup.

When you are playing solo you are able to go into the social menu and call for backup, this will alert other agents that you need a hand and people can jump in. You will also get offered to do this on screen if you go down on solo. Just call for backup for the trophy.

Suits You, Sir!

Suits You, Sir!

Collect any suit of cards in the open world.

You can find these collectibles under the database records in the collectibles menu. There are four suits to collect and they are all playing cards. You must collect a whole set of 13 (Diamonds, Hearts, Clubs or spades) for the trophy to unlock.

These cards drop at random from open world bosses and they don’t drop duplicates but you can only kill one open world boss every half an hour. There is one boss spawn just south of the White House, you can farm this boss for the cards whenever you go back to the White House throughout your playthrough, as long as you leave it 30 minutes or more between visits. Below I explain this method in a video and also have a video for all the open world boss locations.

TV Cop

TV Cop

Perform a slide across the hood of a car.

There are plenty of cars in the open world, you just need to run up to the bonnet of one and press circle (PS4) to slide across it and get the trophy. Police cars are great.

Patchwork

Get 10 patches from commendations.

Commendations are in-game challenges that you can complete to unlock patches for your character. These patches can be found under the aparrel menu and put on the right arm of your character to show off. You are forever working towards these commendations and will unlock 10 without even knowing but you do have to go to the commendations menu to redeem them. Once 10 have been redeemed you will have the trophy. Have a look at the commendations and choose 10 to do to get this early.

Resourceful Agent

Resourceful Agent

Help friendlies in resource gathering.

Around the outskirts of the Theatre settlement there is sometimes a friendly patrol gathering supplies and taking them to another location. You just need to follow them to that location and hand some of your supplies in as well for the trophy. Enemies can attack you and the friendlies will drop the supplies and scatter, once the enemies are dealt with it can take a while for the friendlies to get a move on. Watch the video to see a visual.

Next Level Operative

Next Level Operative

Reach Level 30.

This is story related as you must reach level 30 before you do the final stronghold and advance to World Tier 1. If you are struggling to get to level 30 to unlock the final stronghold you just need to complete some side missions too.

Strength in Numbers

Strength in Numbers

Create or join a clan.

You won’t be able to join or create a clan until you have completed the first three story missions and spoken to an NPC at the Theatre to hire them. Once hired, head to the Base of Operations and find the clan quarters on the ground floor. Set up a clan or join another clan and the trophy will pop up.

For Posterity

For Posterity

Photo mode: take a photo of a group of 4 agents.

Get a group of four together and bring up the photo mode by pressing start/options and holding square (PS4). Take a photo with all four in the shot for the trophy.

Crafty Collector

Collect 20 blueprints.

You will get blueprints rewarded to you through missions, side missions, projects and level 3 control points. You can also buy them from the blueprint vendor next to the crafting station. You should unlock 20 without thinking about it.

Taste of the Exotic

Taste of the Exotic

Craft an exotic weapon or item.

The easiest exotic to craft is the Kendra’s Liberty Exotic Pistol. You will want to keep an eye out for the non exotic varient of the gun called the D50. These can drop from anywhere but you will only have a few simple tasks to complete once you have one; (these tasks can also be done before you get the D50)

  • Complete the mid mission named boss the first time you play Capitol Building Stronghold (Story). He will drop a Pistol Trigger and Mechanism
  • Complete American History Museum on hard to get the Receiver and Paint-job from the last boss.
  • Complete ViewPoint Museum on hard to get the Pistol Sight and Rail from the last boss.
  • Complete Space Administration HQ on hard to get the Pistol Grip and Tags + Blueprint from the last boss.

I think the above needs to be done in that order and once you have everything you just need to go to the crafting station at the Base of Operations with your D50 unequipped and craft the Kendra’s Liberty for your trophy.

Specialized

Specialized

Equip your first specialization.

We spoke about specializations earlier. Once you reach World Tier 1 just equip a specialization and the trophy pops.

Best of the Best

Best of the Best

Invest in each type of upgrade available for a specialization.

As soon as you hit World Tier 1 choose a specialization you like and stick with it. The Sharpshooter is a good choice as it is used a lot in the Dark Hours raid. Make your way through the world tiers until you reach World Tier 5, and you would have occurred a lot of specialization points for the specialization you had equipped.

You can spend these at the quartermaster and to save time only spend into each perk once on the multiple upgrade perks. Once each perk has had points spent in the trophy will unlock. In World Tier 5 you can earn more specialization points through playing missions on tougher difficulty, doing your weekly invaded missions, and bounties.

Project Management

Complete a project for both the Theater and Campus settlements.

You can view projects for the Theatre and Campus in the project menu or by visiting the project NPC at each Settlement. On each of your projects it will state if it is for the Theatre, campus or Base of Operations, complete one from both of the Settlements and then hand them in for the trophy.

Dress to Impress

Dress to Impress

Equip high-end gear (or above) in each slot.

You will start getting High-End gear to drop in the open world early on in the game well before you reach World Tier 1. High-End gear is gold and you need to equip a gold item into each of your inventory slots (primary, secondary, sidearm, mask, chest, holster, backpack, gloves and kneepads). It doesn’t matter what level the piece is and the trophy unlocks once all gold items are equipped.

Year One Updates

There are seven additional trophies that have been added through Year One updates. All of these are extremely easy bar one!

Washington Raiders

Washington Raiders

Complete the full Operation Dark Hours raid in a group of eight players.

The Washington Raiders trophy is part of the Episode 1 DLC which is a free DLC. This is by far the toughest trophy on the game currently but does not need to be collected for the platinum, as with all DLC trophies. For this trophy you must complete the Dark Hours raid and without another seven people, this is impossible. The raid requires very decent builds and a clear understanding of all raid mechanics. It would take a new group of people weeks to figure out and farm builds for the raid, and then a lot of time learning it and mastering it.

There are a lot of people who help though and we have helped hundreds in our community. We have helped hundreds across PC, PS4 and Xbox and have dedicated raid teams working on getting as many people through it as we can. Join our community and add yourself to our queue to get this trophy in the bag: https://discord.gg/f7K4k7Y.

If you fancy taking on the challenge with some others then have a read of my Complete Dark Hours Guide: https://gcrock.com/the-division-2-dark-hours-guide.

Caged Animal

Caged Animal

Manning National Zoo is a stronghold (previously a standard mission) that came with the Episode 2 DLC. This DLC is free and you just need to complete the Manning National Zoo stronghold.

The Pentagon is a mission that came with the Episode 3 DLC. This DLC is free and you just need to complete the Pentagon mission.

Reactor Heist

Secure the perfusion bioreactor from the DARPA labs below the Pentagon.

DARPA Research Labs is a mission that came with the Episode 3 DLC. This DLC is free and you just need to complete the DARPA Research Labs mission.

To Sum It All Up

The Amusement Park is a mission that came with the Episode 4 DLC. The DLC is free and you just need to complete the mission.

Year Two Updates

Year two started with an expansion (Warlords of New York) and this time you had to pay for it. The initial expansion comes with 10 more trophies that are all covered below, and I will add more if more get added throughout the rest of year two.

Jail Break

Survive all of Theo Parnell's traps and defeat him.

Unlock this trophy by completing The Tombs mission in New York.

Deep Underground

Deep Underground

Shut down the Cleaners' drill and eliminate Javier Kajika.

Unlock this trophy by completing the Pathway Park mission in New York.

Plummeting Stock

Plummeting Stock

Defeat James Dragov at the NYC Stock Exchange.

Unlock this trophy by completing the Wall Street mission in New York.

Boiling Point

Shutdown the Cleaners' oil refinery and defeat Vivian Conley.

Unlock this trophy by completing the Stranded Tanker mission in New York.

Liberation

Liberation

Prevent the missile launch and defeat Aaron Keener.

Unlock this trophy by completing the Liberty Island mission in New York.

Almost a Band

Complete a Main Mission in New York with at least one directive active.

Once you have completed all of the main missions in New York you will be able to replay a mission and switch on directives from the mission menu. Just go to a start of a main mission, enter the menu, turn on a directive and then complete the mission for the trophy.

Under Lady Liberty's Gaze

Under Lady Liberty's Gaze

Complete the manhunt and eliminate Aaron Keener.

Unlock this trophy by completing all of the main missions in New York. It will unlock after the Liberty Island mission is complete.

Extreme Manhunt

Extreme Manhunt

Complete a Seasonal Manhunt on challenging global difficulty (or above).

Seasonal manhunts came with Season 1 on The Division 2. There are four manhunts across the season and you are required to complete one of these manhunts with a world difficulty set to at least challenging for this trophy.

There is a great way to cheese this trophy though using the Aaron Keener manhunt in New York. All of the main New York missions are classed as the Aaron Keener manhunt and completing all of these missions with the world difficulty set to challenging or above will count. Better yet, you can do every mission on Story Difficulty!

To set the world difficulty to challenging or above just go to your map menu and press right on the D-Pad. Here you will be able to set the world difficulty to challenging or heroic for the trophy. Then when you go to the start of each mission you will be able to select story in the mission menu and it will still count. Someone even jumped on me on the very last mission, Liberty Island, and got this trophy without doing anything else.  So you can just try doing Liberty Island and ignore the rest and it should work.

Shut that door (again)

Shut two car doors while in cover.

There was a trophy in The Division 1 that I think required you to shut a car door while in cover. This is the same but you must do two doors this time, I just found a car with two doors open, took cover on the car and moved across it to close both doors.

Over The Hill

Over The Hill

Reach Level 40 with an agent.

You can only move on from level 30 if you purchase the Warlords of New York expansion and head to New York. When at New York you will start levelling up again and the max level is 40. You will level up through completing the main missions, side missions and open world activities. You must be level 40 before you take on the Liberty Island main mission and it doesn’t take too long.

This is the end of the guide, I hope it has helped you achieve 100% completion and that you enjoyed the game as much as I do. For a little bit of fun I captured all of my trophy screenshots and put them into a video, check it out before you leave, thank you for reading.
