What personal data my website collects and why it is collected

At https://gcrock.com we recognize that privacy of your personal information is important. In this section of the privacy policy you will find information on what types of personal information we receive and collect when you visit https://gcrock.com, and why we collect it. All information that we collect is safeguarded and we never sell your personal information to third parties.

Log files

Most websites collect and use the data contained in log files and we do also. The information in the log files include your IP (internet protocol) address, your ISP (internet service provider), the browser you used to visit our site (such as Google Chrome), the time you visited our site and which pages you visited throughout our site. This information is only used for analytical purposes. Analytics are covered more later in this policy.

Comments

We embed Facebook Comments plugin to allow you to leave comment at our website using your Facebook account. This plugin may collect your IP address, your web browser User Agent, store and retrieve cookies on your browser, embed additional tracking, and monitor your interaction with the commenting interface, including correlating your Facebook account with whatever action you take within the interface (such as “liking” someone’s comment, replying to other comments), if you are logged into Facebook. Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website. Only my Patrons and clan members will have member access to my website and only these members will have the option to upload any media.

Contact forms

I use contact forms on my website for a variety of purposes that include sending me feedback, entering competitions, entering events (streams etc) and sending me media to use (photos for my photo gallery). I will always ask for a valid email address and your Playstation Network ID. I will use your email address only to reply to you, your Playstation Network ID will only be used for purpose (if you are wanting to be a part of an upcoming stream, I will use it to add you on the Playstation). I will not share or sell any of this information to third parties. Your Playstation Network ID may be visible to others if you do enter my streams or win competitions etc. A log file with your IP (internet protocol) address will also be created automatically when using a contact form. All of the data that you fill out in a contact form is stored on my website and it is also sent to my email address at gcrock6@gmail.com. Once again the information that you give me is only used for the purpose explained in the contact form and I will remove all of the data from my website and email inbox once it is no longer fit for purpose. None of this information will be shared or sold to anybody. Any media that you send me may be used on my website, YouTube,Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, but you will be made fully aware of this before sending it me.

I host my website through 1&1 and their website is https://www.1and1.co.uk. 1&1 may also collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction on my website. I do not embed anything from 1&1 myself but as my hosts, I imagine they do have access to some data. Information gathered by third-party advertisers

Purpose of collection

We collect information at various points in the website to facilitate it’s use by the people that visit it. Upon accessing the website, some non-personal information will be automatically collected, such as your IP address, location data (which is anonymous) and the referring website. We use non-personal information to examine our traffic and to view how people who visit the website, use the website. This type of information will not allow you to be personally identified, cookies are used which contain only certain statistical information. (c) Statistical Analysis: We may share Non-Personal Information and aggregated information with third parties, including but not limited to for advertising or marketing purposes. No Personal Information will be shared in this manner.

(d) Transactions: In connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing or acquisition, or in any other situation where Personal Information may be disclosed or transferred as one of our business assets.

 

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. We embed Facebook Comments plugin to allow you to leave comment at our website using your Facebook account. For users that register on our website (patrons and clan members), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Information that you share with us through contact forms will be stored for varied times depending on the reason for the contact form usage. The information you give will only be stored while it remains valid and will be deleted as soon as it is no longer valid. Any information given through contact forms will be deleted within 6 months.

Analytical data will be stored for a maximum of 1 year.

 

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this website you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

 

Social Media Plugin “Shariff Wrapper”

On our website we offer you the possibility to use so called “Social Media Buttons”. To protect your data, we use a solution called “Shariff”. Hereby the share buttons are implemented as static images, which contain a link to the corresponding social network site. If you click on such a button, you will be redirected to the respective social network site in the same way, as normal links would do as well. Only in that moment of time the provider of the social network site will get information about you, for example your IP address. If you do not click on such a share button, no data will be transmitted. Akismet

We collect information about visitors who comment on Sites that use our Akismet anti-spam service. The information we collect depends on how the User sets up Akismet for the Site, but typically includes the commenter’s IP address, user agent, referrer, and Site URL (along with other information directly provided by the commenter such as their name, username, email address, and the comment itself).

 

Facebook Feed WD

Our website makes use of Facebook API to receive public data for our Facebook feed. If any of this data is accidentally cached in our website database we will have it removed.
