The date has come and gone as we finished all of tests given to us by Aaron Keener and it was time to meet him face to face! The developers would have been hoping for a better day though as server issues plagued the day across every platform with players unable to play for more than a couple of minutes without being booted. These issues were fixed in the end though and we got to see out the manhunt.
Aaron Keener Climax Mission
After doing the normal bounties and control points we had to head off to Federal Emergency Bunker to meet with Aaron Keener but he was being chased! The black Tusk were on to him so we had enemies to deal with once we got there. This was not all though because the mission was rigged and traps were everywhere which would kill you very quickly.
As we navigated through the mission and dodged the traps we encountered a lot of Aaron Keener decoys and there was plenty of comms from ANNA, ISAK and Aaron Keener himself. Except from the traps the mission was quite straight forward and actually really fun to play!
There were a few surprises in the form of a pitch black room that I needed to navigate through which was full of traps, a duck that would appear if you shot a toy duck, and then the final encounter itself where for the first time in the history of The Division we got to work with Aaron Keener himself!
Except for all of the server issues I really did enjoy this climax mission and I think they did a great job. If you want to see my first full clear of the mission you can do so in the video below.
Did we go Rogue?
If you watch a lot of my streams then you know that I was sure we were about to go Rogue in The Division 2 and join Aaron Keener, Kelso and Theo. I couldn’t have been further away from the truth though! At the end of this manhunt mission we learn that Aaron Keener wants to gain Manny’s trust as well as ours and he is that determined to achieve it that he accepts a deal to be captured at the White House.
But why? Well Aaron Keener needs a team and he cannot do this on his own. Many people have seen what Keener sees and have backed him and we are not the first. If Keener can get the trust of Manny then he will have an army to take to Brooklyn with him for whatever the task may be.
The briefcase that Aaron Keener took from the chest at the end of last season is now also at the White House with him and it has six watches inside. I believe that these are ANNA watches and it tells me that Aaron Keener needs a team of six people! Is he included in that or does he already have a watch? We don’t know but these watches are obviously for his team and he now needs to build it before heading to Brooklyn.
What Comes Next?
We don’t have a date yet but season two of year six is due to go live either at the end of September or in October. It seems obvious to me that in this season we will be helping Aaron Keener get his squad together ready for the Brooklyn DLC that releases the season after. Each of his team will get a hold of one of these new watches and once we have the team ready we will head to Brooklyn and find out exactly why Aaron Keener needs us.
I am really hyped for this and believe that next season could be one of the best seasons we have had in a very long time. Not only do we get this story advancement but we get Season 2.0 as well which will be changing a lot about how seasons work.
Make sure you subscribe to me on Youtube or follow on Twitch to watch me play live and don’t forget to checkout our huge Discord community if you want to link up with others as we head into the new season. I will close this post off with my video update of this Aaron Keener climax mission and then all the First Rogue comms in case you want to listen to all of them.
